An authentic vintage mid-century French fashion pochoir (stencil print) by artist Isidore André, created circa 1950 for the Parisian fabric house Ed. Berville.
Pochoir is a highly labor-intensive stencil process in which gouache is carefully applied by hand over textured paper. This striking work features two stylized figures dressed in mid-century couture, beautifully rendered with intricate accessories and vibrant colors throughout their garments.
The artwork is marked “ED. BERVILLE – Paris” and signed “Tissu Isidore André.” A rare and collectible example of mid-century French fashion and textile design, the piece captures the bold silhouettes, vivid color palette, and sophisticated aesthetic of the era.
The artwork has been beautifully preserved and is presented in a modern wooden frame with glass.
